Community Schools Initiative (CSI)
In collaboration with LA County’s Department of Mental Health and Office of Education, 211 LA is providing outreach and resource linkage services to the 15 designated CSI school districts in efforts to increase families’ resilience, engagement and school attendance and connectedness.
Community Schools Kickoff
The Community Schools pilot launched in September 2019 and is underway at 15 high schools across the county that serve as hubs for a range of support services for students and their families. Each campus is provided with a full-time program specialist to coordinate services from participating agencies and a full-time educational community worker to support parent engagement. The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) created a video from the Community School Initiative's Kickoff Event. Watch now to learn more.
