The City provides a city government information line for the general public to locate City offices and services. The three digit code: 3-1-1 is available within L A City limits.

City 3-1-1 representatives provide information about, and direct connections or referrals to, all City of Los Angeles departments. Representatives also process service requests such as reporting graffiti, illegal dumping, abandoned or illegally parked vehicles, street lighting complaints; or trash collection services including missed trash or bulky item pickup. They can also assist with construction permit appointments or inspections.

Traffic and information about road closures may also be available. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call 3-1-1 for service. Centrex numbers are available outside the City of Los Angeles; or visit the website at www.lacity.org or MyLA 311 App through your smartphones.
