Adolescent/Youth Counseling

The center provides mental health services as needed for district students who attend school in the Los Angeles Unified School District area who have been referred because of emotional and behavioral problems which affect their school performance. Services include adolescent/youth counseling, and mental health evaluation. Geographic restrictions apply.
After evaluation, the center formulates a treatment plan involving existing community mental health and educational facilities, and counsels parents and teachers about implementation procedures. As part of a case plan, parenting skills groups and socialization skills groups for children are provided. APPLICATION PROCEDURE A referral from the child's school or parent is required for service including Medi-Cal recipients. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
