Adoption and Foster/Kinship Care Support Groups
Provider: LOS ANGELES SOUTHWEST COLLEGE - COMMUNITY SERVICES AND EXTENSION PROGRAM
The Community Service Department provides community services for children, adolescents and adults who live in Los Angeles County. Services include adoption and foster/kinship care support groups, life skills education for emancipated minors and licensing/certification/accreditation for kinship caregivers. There are no geographic restrictions.
The Community Services programs for adults (18 and over) include short-team non-credit activities in personal development and skill improvement.
Special Pre-Certification training is available for prospective foster parents and kinship caregivers. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees which vary for different classes.
