This is a two year community college provides academic and vocational education courses and programs for California residents who are high school graduates or who are age 18 or older. There are no geographic restrictions.

Students may earn an Associate of Arts degree in two years and transfer to a four-year college, a vocational certificate and enter the workforce, or may take courses primarily for personal enrichment. Student support services include financial assistance counseling, career planning, job placement, and a child development center for day care.

Services for students with disabilities include tutoring, counseling, special equipment, and assistance with tests, notes and registration for students who have special needs. The learning resource center provides tutoring and remedial education assistance for enrolled students.

The College's "Bridges to Success" program provides ESL classes, citizenship classes and computer classes. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or visit the admissions office for additional information, or walk-in to complete an application form. New students are tested to evaluate their language and mathematics skill levels. People who have not lived in California for at least one year and one day prior to the beginning of the semester are considered non-residents and must pay additional fees. Disabled students call the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) number for information about special programs. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Students pay a state-mandated fee for classes. Fees for out-of-state students are higher. A fee waiver may be submitted to the financial aid office by those who meet the exemption criteria. The program under Bridges to Success have no fees.
