Adult Diversion ( Alcohol Use Disorder Issues )

The agency provides substance abuse services for individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include adult diversion programs, first offender DUI programs, juvenile diversion, and multiple offender DUI programs for alcohol abuse and drug abuse issues. There are no geographic restrictions.

Services include drinking driver programs for people who have been ordered by the court to attend a program because of one or multiple arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs.

First offenders complete three month, six month, or nine month programs. Second offenders complete an 18 month program, and third offenders complete a 30 month program. Programs may include alcohol and drug education, individual counseling, rap groups and group therapy, family counseling, antabuse therapy, and attendance at twelve-step meetings.

The agency notifies the court when the person is accepted, submits required progress reports, and notifies the court of satisfactory program completion or non-compliance. The agency also provides drug diversion programs for adults and juveniles who are court referred. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information about an orientation session and an appointment for evaluation. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There is a fixed fee for all programs; however, participants who are not able to pay the entire amount at once will be allowed to work out an installment schedule. All clients are expected to comply with the payment schedule developed at intake.
