The agency provides mental health services in Los Angeles County. Services include adult psychiatric inpatient units. There are no geographic restrictions.

The inpatient program is for adults, age 18 and older, who have a variety of psychiatric conditions which may include acute and chronic major depression, schizophrenia, and bi-polar disorders. People are admitted to the inpatient unit after being evaluated by staff. The treatment is individualized and incorporates individual, family, and group therapy; biofeedback; recreational and occupational therapy; stress management; and assertiveness training, as appropriate. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An intake appointment is required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees; Medi-Cal, Medicare and private insurance are accepted. Hill-Burton funds are periodically available to subsidize outpatient care. Medi-Cal is not accepted for outpatient mental health services; the initial evaluation fee is $125; subsequent therapy sessions are $80 per visit.

SITE HOURS: Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.<p/>SERVICE HOURS : The hospital provides services Sunday through Monday, 24 hours per day. Administrative and intake hours for most services are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm.
