Adult Residential Treatment Facilities

Adult Residential Treatment Facilities ( Developmental Disabilities )

The agency provides services for adults with developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other intellectual and physical disabilities, age 18 and older who live in the San Fernando or Santa Clarita Valleys. Services include basic independent living skills training, individual and group counseling, supported employment services, a work activity center, intermediate residential care, community residential care, and recreational and social activities. Some supported employment services are targeted to adults with acquired brain injuries. Services are restricted to San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley residents.

The program's focus is to help each person reach his or her highest potential and live in the least restrictive environment possible.

The Work Services Center allows adults with special needs to develop marketable skills while earning income in a supervised and structured environment. Additional employment services include placing clients with local community businesses and providing free supplemental professional job coaches.

The residential program provides permanent homes for 72 residents. Tenants receive assistance from staff and interact with each other.

Independent living skills training includes assistance in money management, safety, work habits, health, relationship issues, hygiene, cooking, and advocacy skills.
