The agency provides services for veterans and their families in Los Angeles County. Services include patient/family housing. Families must reside 50 miles away or more from the VA Greater Los Angeles Medical Center.
The Greater Los Angeles Fisher House provides temporary housing for the families of veterans who are receiving medical care at the VA West Los Angeles Medical Center.
The agency also administers a program called Hero Miles which can assist veterans with transportation costs to and from Fisher Houses and other authorized destinations. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Referrals are required by the VA Social Worker. The Fisher House Manager will determine eligibility. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
