The center provides recreational programs for people of all ages who live in the greater Long Beach and western Orange County areas. Services include aquaorbics/aquatic exercise, parent/child instruction, recreational activities/sports, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, residential camps, travel and volunteer opportunities. Services are oriented to the Jewish community and culture but anyone is welcome. Center membership is required for most activities which are available for youth, singles, seniors and families. The summer program offers swimming in large and kiddie pools, swimming and lifesaving classes, and a jacuzzi as well as various day and overnight camping programs for people of preschool age through senior citizens and for families.

Year-round activities for children include classes, clubs and sports; parent and baby/toddler classes are also available. Junior and senior high school youth councils plan activities which include classes, trips, clubs, sports and dramatic productions. The adult program offers classes which include dance, yoga, exercise, photography, art, CPR; social events; sports; concerts and lectures; a drama production group; and activities for singles and for single parents. Classes, clubs, trips and volunteer opportunities are available to active retired seniors as well as an outreach program at three sites for seniors in local board and care facilities. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information about center programs. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Membership fees vary and may be adjusted; there are fixed fees for activities.
