Behavior Modification ( Youth )

The agency provides mental health services to youth and adolescents birth to 21 living in Los Angeles County. Services include adolescent/youth counseling, behavior modification therapy, child guidance, and psychiatric case management. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include psychotherapy for adolescents with socialization difficulties including temper tantrums, school problems, and dealing with major life changes such as death and divorce. A special program is available for youth ages 13 and older who have substance abuse problems or are engaging in at-risk behavior.
Crisis oriented recovery services are available on a short-term basis for families with at least one member receiving Medi-Cal. Crises may include divorce, death, or other family issues.
Psychological services are also available for mothers with children ages birth to five years, that have suffered a trauma such as divorce, loss of a parent, domestic violence, post-partum depression or child abuse. Child parent psychotherapy is designed to work on issues of attachment and communication.
Medi-Cal eligible youth, 0 to 18 years of age, may receive developmental assessment services and behavior modification therapy through the CHDP program. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply; appointments are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services. Fees are paid by Medi-Cal.
