The medical center provides hospital services for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include cancer services, early intervention for children with disabilities/delays, emergency room services, geriatric services, a neonatal intensive care unit, family planning services, health education, support groups for cancer and diabetes, mental health services, and pediatrics. Age restrictions apply for some services; and some services are targeted, but not restricted, to older adults.

Specialized services include a cleft palate program, breast self-examination education, and a speech disorders program.

Early intervention is available for children from birth to age three who have a developmental delay. The focus may be on development of fine and gross motor skills, adaptive behavior, language, cognition, play and/or personal and social behavior. Children who are diagnosed as high risk, failure to thrive, or environmentally deprived infants; who have cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, head trauma, seizure disorders, a hydrocephalus condition, or fetal substance syndrome; or who are post-meningitis are among those who may be assisted.

The center also provides a Child Life program to assist hospitalized children to maintain normal living patterns and to deal with the anxiety and stress that being hospitalized for various periods of time can cause. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; walk in for emergency services. Individuals can register for Lamaze classes online. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees; Medi-Cal, Medicare and private insurance are accepted. All Lamaze class sessions are free.
