The agency provides substance use disorder services for adults and adolescents, age 13 and older, in Los Angeles County. Services include adult diverison, alcohol use disorder counseling, central intake/assessment for alcohol and drug use disorders, comprehensive outpatient alcohol use disorder treatment, comprehensive outpatient drug use disorder treatment, drug use disorder counseling, drug/alcohol testing, juvenile diversion, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

This county Client Engagement & Navigation Services (CENS) provides central intake/assessment for alcohol and/or drug use disorders. Staff use an automated assessment tool to determine addiction severity and screen the participant's eligibility for specifically funded county-contracted alcohol and drug programs. Supportive services may include substance abuse education, vocational rehabilitation, transportation and referrals to other community services. Client services also include case management, on-site medical screenings and transportation to and from services.

The outpatient drug treatment program is a nine month to one year program which includes counseling, drug education, 12-step meetings, and mandatory drug testing.

Alcohol use disorder and drug use disorder counseling is provided through two programs for adolescents age 11 through 17 and adults age 18 and older. Services include individual and group counseling and random urine testing.

Individuals must be participating in a program to receive drug testing services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees for the outpatient services are on a sliding scale based on income. The fee for drug testing is $45. The are no fees for Detox information and referral.
