The program provides child abuse intervention services for people who live in the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas. Services include child abuse prevention, child abuse counseling and child sexual assault counseling.

Child abuse services are provided for victims of all types of abuse or neglect and their families. Counseling includes an evaluation and individual and group therapy. Special groups are available for perpetrators. Staff also provide parenting skills training. Staff are in regular contact with police and other law enforcement agencies, the County Department of Children's Services, and other agencies.

Child abuse prevention focuses on parenting education, communication and socialization skills, stress management, and behavior management. Special therapy groups for parents who were abused as children are provided. Prevention education is also provided for court ordered individuals. The program teaches non-offending parents and caregivers how to avoid potentially abusive situations and how to recognize the signs of abuse. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; an appointment is required for most services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Counseling fees are on a sliding scale from $35 to $155 per session. Low-income families pay no fee or pay on a sliding scale from $0 to $155. Private insurance is accepted.
