The college provides post-secondary education for California residents who have high school diplomas or who are age 18 or older. There are no geographic restrictions. Age restrictions apply for some services.

This is a two-year community college which provides academic and vocational education courses. Services include transfer of liberal arts and general education requirements to four year colleges and universities, family life education, vocational programs which lead to vocational licensure careers, and remedial and community education programs for self-improvement and cultural/recreational purposes.

Support services for students include student financial assistance, counseling, career planning, job placement, tutoring, and specialized programs for students who have learning disabilities like dyslexia and for students who have other disabilities (with the exception of students who are totally deaf).
