Clerical Volunteer Opportunities

The program provides volunteer opportunities for law students, lawyers, undergraduate students, high school students and community individuals in Los Angeles and throughout California. Services include pro bono legal aid opportunities and administration volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Pro bono legal aid volunteer opportunities are available for law students, lawyers and some undergraduate students in the spring, summer and fall. Volunteers conduct legal research, prepare memos and legal briefs, and attend coalition meetings.

Administration volunteer opportunities are available for high school students, community individuals and also undergraduate students throughout the year. Volunteers provide clerical services and assist with special projects.

The agency provides general office training; volunteers are not required to submit to any additional special training or take and pass any test. Also, the agency does not complete background checks. Volunteers are not asked to volunteer for a set period of time, or set number of hours per week. Volunteers are supervised by the Legal Director.
