Clerical Volunteer Opportunities


The agency provides volunteer opportunities for individuals who live in the Long Beach area. Services include mentoring volunteer opportunities, tutoring volunteer opportunities, fund raising volunteer opportunities and clerical volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Mentoring volunteers must be 24 years or older and be willing to commit to a long relationship/friendship with their student. Mentors commit to a minimum of six to eight hours per month for one to five years. Fingerprinting, DMV report and TB testing are required. Ongoing training is provided.

Tutoring volunteer opportunities involves helping students with a particular subject, especially math, English and science. Fingerprinting and TB testing is required. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or visit the agency's website for an application. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees for fingerprinting, DMV report and TB testing.
