The program provides emergency food and sack lunches primarily for residents of Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lennox, El Segundo, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance and zip codes 90043, 90044, 90045, 90047 and 90056, including people who are undocumented or homeless. Services include ongoing emergency food, a commodity supplemental food program (CSFP) and sack lunches. People who live within the service area may apply for assistance twice per month. Geographic restrictions apply for some services.

The emergency food program provides a one week supply of groceries, which generally contain fresh produce, meats, dairy, staples and canned goods. The amount of food varies with family size. Sack lunches are provided for people who are experiencing homelessness.

The CSFP program provides bags of groceries consisting of USDA surplus commodities and other staples and canned goods once a month for low income seniors 60 years and older. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for an appointment for emergency food. First time clients bring identification for household members and proof of address.

Walk in for sack lunches during distribution hours. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
