The district provides post-secondary education for Antelope Valley residents, including the communities of Acton, Antelope Acres, Lake Hughes, Lake Los Angeles, Lancaster, Leona Valley, Llano, Palmdale, Pearblossom, Quartz Hill, Rosamond and Sun Village. It offers programs leading to an associate degree, certificate programs in 40 subject areas, and higher education for students planning to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Services include adult basic education, community colleges, community college districts, continuing education, GED instruction, vocational education and work study programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

The college provides vocational education, continuing education for personal and professional development, and programs for disabled students.

It also provides employment services for low-income students including access to CalWORKs and GED programs. Adult Basic Education classes are available for TANF recipients. Other CalWORKs program offerings include 8 week sessions in GED preparation, Introduction to the Computer, ESL, Work Ethics, and Employer Expectations. CalWORKs students may combine Work Study, Work Experience and Job Preparation activities with their academic classes.

Work-Study programs for TANF recipients provide part-time employment of up to 20 hour per week, for full-time (12 units) students. The program pays 75% of the students' wages for a period of six months. If the employer is unwilling to pay full wages after this time period expires, the student may be given a new job assignment. A CalWORKs participant may receive Work-Study assistance for a period of two years, while in school.

Support services for all students include a career center, child development center, financial aid, a learning center for tutorial services and a veteran's office. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Tuition is $46 per unit. There are additional fees for some classes. Low income students can apply for a waiver for lower fees per semester.
