The agency provides substance use disorder services for adults. Services include adult diversion programs for substance abusers, outpatient substance use disorder services, substance use disorder education and prevention, specialized information and referral, drinking driver programs and comprehensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment targeted to at risk adults age 19 and older. Outpatient services and drug/alcohol testing is done at the corporate site. DUI programs are provided at two locations, Cerritos and Downey. Some services are targeted to Hispanics/Latinos, people who have hearing impairments, prison inmates and youth. There are no geographic restrictions.

Outpatient services include individual and group counseling; twelve-step support groups; alcohol and drug education, and drop-in activities. Program length is based on medical necessity.

Adult Diversion day programs funded by Proposition 36, provide habilitative day treatment services for people who have been convicted of substance abuse, and whom the court believes can be rehabilitated by treatment. The program is provided in three Tracks according to the requirements of the referring agency. Track I is a PC1000 drug and alcohol diversion program of 20 weeks, that includes education, counseling and 12-step meetings; Track II is an intensive 26 week program with twice weekly group therapy, education, individual counseling, 12-step meetings and drug and alchohol testing for people referred by Probation or DCFS; Track III is a modified version of Track II that may be taken by self-referred clients or EAP clients. These programs are provided at the agency's Paramount location.

Living with Hope Resource Centers provide outpatient substance abuse treatment for at risk adults age 19 and older including men, women, individuals living with AIDS/HIV, individuals living with hepatitis, individuals of ethnic minorities, and individuals who are LGBTQ. The center offers outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, case management, HIV/AIDS/Viral Hepatitis prevention education, testing and referrals to community agencies and also referrals for vaccinations for hepatitis A and B.

Community education and prevention programs include presentations for churches, civic groups, schools and other community groups; and in-service trainings for multidisciplinary professionals. The agency also provides information about substance abuse and referrals to substance abuse-related services in the Southeast area of Los Angeles.

Drinking driver services include a 12-week first offender program, a one-year multiple offender program, and a 14-hour juvenile offender program. Programs include individual and group counseling, alcohol education, and participation in twelve-step meetings. DUI programs are offered at two locations, the Cerritos site for first offender DUI and the Downey site for First and Second offender DUI and Multi-Offender DUI programs

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or for an appointment. The Drug Court - South East Regional site provides services in Spanish only. For the Living with Hope Resource Centers call or walk in for an appointment. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are set on a sliding scale; no one is turned away based on inability to pay. There are no fees for the Living with Hope Resource Centers program.
