The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles County. Volunteer Opportunities include career development volunteer opportunities, clerical volunteer opportunities, computer literacy volunteer opportunities, fundraising volunteer opportunities, meal preparation/serving volunteer opportunities, recreational volunteer opportunities and therapy volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Clerical volunteers provide office support at the agency by answering telephones, filing and completing light data entry tasks.

Fundraising volunteers assist the agency by planning and implementing fundraising activities.

Meal preparation/serving volunteers assist in preparing and serving breakfast and dinner at the agency.

The agency also has volunteer opportunities for those who wish to teach an agency workshop. Career development volunteers, computer literacy volunteers, and therapy volunteers teach agency workshops.

Agency volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, or if younger, accompanied by adult supervision. Agency volunteers must be clean and sober and professional. Volunteers are provided a two hour orientation/training session. Volunteers are not asked to take or pass any tests, pay any fees or incur any costs. The agency does not complete background checks. Volunteers are asked to commit to serve the agency for 3 months, 3 to 4 hours per week. Volunteers must sign a confidentiality statement. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to volunteer. Potential volunteers must complete a written application, an in-person interview, and orientation and training. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Volunteers are not required to pay any fees or incur any costs.
