Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites

Services and hours have been affected due to Coronavirus. Congregate meals are not currently available. Please call for more information to determine if meal drive through pickup or home delivered meals are available in your area.

The program provides services for adults 60 years and older in the San Gabriel Valley and the Antelope Valley. Services include a hot lunch program at many community locations, a home-delivered meal program, long term case/care management program, nutrition education, recreational activities and telephone reassurance. Case workers are available to assist seniors, in an emergency, on very short notice. Age restrictions apply; geographic restrictions apply for some services.

A hot, nutritious lunch is provided at various sites throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Reservations are required at all sites.

Case/care management program is offered throughout San Gabriel Valley and Antelope Valley and the entire District Five area. Age and eligibility restrictions apply for the program.

Home delivered frozen meals are provided for disabled and homebound seniors who meet program guidelines and who live within the service area. The service area includes Alhambra, Altadena, Arcadia, Avocado Heights, Baldwin Park, Bassett, Covina, Duarte, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, Industry, La Habra Heights, La Puente, La Verne, Monrovia, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Rosemead, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, San Gabriel, Sierra Madre, South San Gabriel, Temple City, Valinda, Walnut and West Covina.

The Traditional Legal Assistance Program (TLAP) provides legal assistance including general counseling, benefits assistance, certificates/forms assistance, naturalization assistance, and tax information provided by visiting attorneys from Bet Tzedek every other month.

Healthy Aging Program includes information provided by presentations and groups for seniors while maintaining physical distancing.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in at each congregate meal site for information or for service. Call the intake desk for information about case management.

For home delivered meals call the main agency's Home Delivered Meals number for information, after the telephone application, the agency will make an appointment for a home visit.

Call the intake desk for the case/care management services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services. There is a voluntary, confidential suggested donation of $3.00 for each congregate meal or home delivered meal; however, no one is turned away due to inability to contribute.
