County Government Departments/Offices ( Disaster/Emergency Issues, Health Issues )

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES - ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Health Services (DHS) clinical facilities remain open and available to outpatients during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The department is asking patients to stay home if you have mild symptom, such as a fever and cough as most will get better with rest and time. However, if you also have trouble breathing or catching your breath or are elderly, pregnant, have a condition that can weaken your immune system, or have other major medical problems then please call your doctor first.

To support social distancing which is critical in reducing the spread of virus, DHS is:
- Offering Phone and Telemedicine Visits to Patients
- Deferring or rescheduling medical procedures, surgeries, radiology and laboratory testing to the extent that it can be done safely for the patient.
- Changing our visitation policy that all non-essential visiting is cancelled All non-patient care administrative offices are closed.

If you are having a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1 or go to nearest Emergency Department.

Individuals wishing to help nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers by donating Coronavirus related personal protection equipment like surgical masks, N95 face masks, face shields and other supplies should email medsupply@dhs.lacounty.gov.
