CPR Instruction

The program provides health education for individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include breastfeeding classes, childbirth education, CPR instruction, expectant/new parent assistance, health related support groups for breastfeeding women, health related support groups for women with cancer, pregnancy/childbirth support groups, and personal safety education targeted to back and neck problems. There are no geographic restrictions.
Support for pregnant women and new mothers includes a breastfeeding workshop, a childbirth education program for expectant parents, and a "Baby Care Basics" class that covers newborn care.
Health related support groups include groups for breastfeeding mothers as well as a "Look Good Feel Better" program for women with cancer.
There is a spine education class that teaches how to prevent back and neck injuries and how to protect the spine.
The progam provides CPR instruction for adults as well as child/infant CPR. The child/infant CPR class covers infant cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking procedures and teaches how to use an automated external defibrillator. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information and to register. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees for most services; spine education and adult CPR are free. There are no fees for support groups.
