The police department provides law enforcement services for the city of Monrovia. Services include abandoned vehicle reporting, crime prevention, emergency protective orders, juvenile delinquency diversion counseling, juvenile delinquency prevention, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, neighborhood watch programs, outreach programs, police reports, temporary restraining orders, and vacation security check services. The service area is restricted to the city of Monrovia.

Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs.), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.

The department provides juvenile delinquency diversion counseling and a variety of crime prevention programs including Project CARY (Cooperation For At-Risk Youth), an early intervention program for youth. It offers professional diversion counseling for juvenile offenders and their families.

The department operates a program called Project Lifesavers which helps locate elderly or disabled persons who may become lost.

The department also advocates direct deposit banking for seniors through community presentations.

Police Reports can be requested by phone or in person. APPLICATION PROCEDURE For emergency assistance, call 9-1-1. Call or walk in for non-emergency services or for information. ID is require to obtain copies of police reports. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services. The fees for injury and non-injury traffic reports are $35 each.
