The program provides transportation services for seniors age 55 and older, for people who have disabilities and for people who are residents of Rosemead. Services include disability related transportation, general paratransit/community ride programs, and senior ride programs. There are geographic restrictions.

Dial-a-ride services are available within a five mile radius of the city and people may utilize the service for shopping, errands and appointments. Lift vans are available for people who use wheelchairs. Service is restricted to Rosemead residents. Services are limited to a 5-mile radius of the city of Rosemead, although weekday trips to Kaiser in Baldwin Park, Huntington Park Memorial Hospital, and Kaiser Pasadena may be scheduled.

Rosemead Explorer is a fixed-route bus system which travels around major destinations within the city. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Individuals must register for Dial-a-Ride services through City Hall; proof of age, disability (if applicable) and proof of residence are required. Service boundaries are estimated; some zip codes are served by multiple agencies. Individuals must call all agencies providing services within a zip code to determine which agency serves their exact address.

For Dial-a-ride services, call for information or to schedule transportation; a 48 hour advance reservation is required, however trips may be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are $1.00 for each one-way trip for Dial-a-ride. Individuals who are visually impaired, caretakers, and children under 5 ride for free.

Rosemead Explorer fees are $.50 for each time the bus is boarded.
