The program provides volunteer opportunities for seniors age 55 and older in Burbank, Glendale, North Hollywood, Sun Valley and Toluca Lake who wish to become involved in volunteer work. Services include volunteer recruitment/placement. Volunteer opportunities include disaster mitigation volunteer opportunities, disaster relief services volunteer opportunities, environmental protection/advocacy volunteer opportunities, tutoring volunteer opportunities, meal delivery volunteer opportunities, and mentoring volunteer opportunities. There are some geographic restrictions.

Volunteer recruitment/placement services include an assessment of the volunteer's interests, expertise and available hours and placement in an appropriate public or private, non-profit agency. Agencies that wish to recruit volunteers to use in their programs may call the center and place a request.

Applications may be mailed out or completed at the time of the interview.Volunteers who request reimbursement from the RSVP agency for expenses or mileage must present government issued identification (drivers license, ID card, passport, etc.). FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Volunteers are not required to pay any fees or incur any costs.
