Discount Transit Passes

Provider: CITY OF SOUTH PASADENA COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SOUTH PASADENA SENIOR CENTER

The program provides transportation for adults 55 years and older, who live in South Pasadena, or for people of any age who have disabilities. Services include disability related transportation, general paratransit/community ride programs, and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to South Pasadena residents.

Dial-A-Ride service is available for banking, shopping, personal errands and medical appointments including those at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena and surrounding medical buildings. A lift van is available to accommodate people who use wheelchairs.

Refills for 30-day Metro TAP cards for seniors and people with disabilities can be purchased at the Senior Center's the front desk. Card attained through Metro allow access to MTA buses and Metro trains. Proof of residency is required upon purchase. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Individuals must be registered through the Senior Center and show proof of residency or disability if applicable. Call or walk in for more information.

Call to schedule a ride, 24-hour advance reservation is required for transportation services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees to become a Dial-A-Ride member. Registered riders pay .50 per trip. Discount Metro TAP passes are $10 for a 30-day pass.
