The agency provides health services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include blood pressure screening, breastfeeding support programs, breast pumps, childbirth education, cholesterol/tryglicerides tests, diabetes screening disease/disability information, first aid instruction, health/disability related support groups, nutrition assessment services, nutrition education, therapeutic exercise, walking programs, wellness programs, disease/disability information is provided on topics such as arthritis, cancer and diabetes.

Health/disability related support groups are provided on topics such as arthritis, cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, interstitial cystitis, and Parkinson's Disease.

Support for pregnant women and new mothers includes a childbirth education program; the Healthy Babies program for Medi-Cal eligible women that includes nutrition education, childbirth education and other resources; a breastfeeding support group; the Sweet Success group that offers support for diabetic pregnant women; and a breast feeding resource center that offers breast pump supplies and rentals.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to make an appointment. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees for most services; and no fees for some services. Medicare, Medi-Cal and private insurance are accepted.
