This is a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services project which provides HIV/AIDS services for people of all ages nationwide. Services include disease/disability information and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

The project provides information about federally and privately sponsored clinical trials and other therapies which may benefit adults and children who are at all stages of HIV infection; HIV treatment and prevention; and medical practice guidelines for health care providers and consumers.

HIVinfo provides information services for people who have tested HIV positive and their families, health professionals, students and other interested people. Callers may obtain updated information about federal and private HIV and AIDS clinical trials, HIV treatment and prevention guidelines and current treatment regimens for HIV infections and AIDS-related illnesses. They receive confidential assistance from trained health information specialists, who provide information and offer assistance navigating the website. Callers may also elect to obtain research protocol and related information via surface mail and e-mail.
