DPSS HOURS

DPSS offices remain closed due to COVID-19; services remain online and by telephone. Paper applications are available for pick-up and drop-off at local DPSS offices, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Visit www.yourbenefits.laclrs.org/ybn/Index.html to apply online.

The Customer Call Center has extended hours: (866) 613-3777 - Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 7:30pm and Saturday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

The agency provides Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) services to individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include EBT card replacement services. There are no geographic restrictions.

The EBT card allows cardholders to access food benefits at point-of-sale (POS) terminals of retailers authorized by the USDA to accept CalFresh benefits. Individuals may also access cash benefits through automated teller machines (ATMs) and cash benefits at POS terminals.

EBT ONLINE
EBT card can now be used to purchase groceries online at Albertsons, Safeway, Aldi and Vons, Walmart and Amazon. Benefits can be used to order food online that you would normally buy with your EBT card in-person and select home delivery. CalWORKs recipients will also be able to use their benefits to make food or other purchases at Walmart. EBT RESTAURANT MEALS PROGRAM (RMP)
The CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program allows homeless, disabled, and elderly (age 60 and over) individuals and his/her spouse receiving CalFresh benefits to use their Golden State Advantage (EBT) cards to purchase meals from participating restaurants. Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately. If benefits are stolen prior to making a report the benefits will not be replaced. It may take up to 3 business days to get a new card. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to a local DPSS office for services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
