The police department provides law enforcement services in the city of Pomona. Services include abandoned vehicle reporting/removal, crime prevention, emergency protective orders, employee fraud reporting, fraud prevention, gang programs, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, neighborhood watch programs, sexual assault prevention, specialized information and referral, temporary restraining orders, traffic safety education/inspections, and vacation security checks. Services are restricted to the city of Pomona.

Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs.), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.

The Traffic Bureau provides educational programs in the schools and for civic groups and business organizations that include an overview of traffic laws and safe driving techniques.

The Crime Prevention Unit helps residents establish Neighborhood Watch groups, does security checks for residents and businesses, offers a crime prevention program for seniors, and provides presentations for public agencies and schools which address child abuse, drug abuse, sexual assault, and gang prevention.

The Investigative Services Division includes the Property Bureau which inventories, warehouses and processes all property taken into custody by the police department. The bureau also facilitates the return of property to its rightful owners.

Police reports may be requested by the victim or authorized representative of the victim. APPLICATION PROCEDURE In an emergency, call 9-1-1. Call or walk in for non-emergency services or for information. Police reports must be requested in writing. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services. Report fees are $.25 per page with a $1.00 minimum.
