This is a business center that provides services for city of Los Angeles residents. Services are targeted to moderate small business owners in South Central Los Angeles. Services include entrepreneurial training, minority business development, organizational development and management services, small business development, small business financing, and workshops and symposiums. There are income and residence restrictions for some programs.

The center's entrepreneurial training program provides training in small business development and operation. Training covers business licenses, bookkeeping, business plans, taxes, inventory control, marketing and sales. To qualify for the City of Los Angeles CDD Entrepreneurial Training program, clients must meet low to moderate income levels, residency and business size and location requirements.

The agency conducts a 3-week training program for people considering starting a business; an 8-week course for more in depth entrepreneurial training; and also conducts periodic seminars for the general public. Business owners may request technical assistance or mentoring services.

The micro-loan program is restricted to clients who are enrolled in one of the agency's training programs. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
