Provider: EAST SAN GABRIEL VALLEY JAPANESE COMMUNITY CENTER

The agency provides multipurpose centers services for residents in the East San Gabriel Valley. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Japanese Americans. Services include arts and crafts instruction, ethnic/cultural festivals, recreational activities/sports, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

The center programs include an infant and toddler center, after school program, senior wellness program, computer lab, martial arts groups (judo, karate, kendo, shinkendo, aikido, tai chi), a language school for children grades K through 12, cultural classes (bonsai, ikebana, Japanese dance and taiko drumming), basketball program for youth, Kime Komi class (doll class), and various local community organizations. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call, walk in for services or visit the agency's website for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Individual membership dues are $50 per year; family membership dues are $75 per year; seniors 75 years and older pay $45 per year for membership.
