The agency provides child care services for families who live, primarily in the Downtown and Little Tokyo areas of Los Angeles. Services include family child care home providers for infants and toddlers from newborn to 36 months of age; and a State Preschool program for children, ages 3 to 5 years. There are income and geographic restrictions for some services.

The home-based program of family child care homes serves families of newborns up to the age of 3. There is a waiting list for the program.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. Documentation includes birth certificates for children to be enrolled, proof of income such as a check stub, and proof of residence such as a utility bill. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are set on a sliding scale from $0 depending on family income.
