Family Counseling ( At Risk Youth )

The agency provides mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families in Los Angeles County. Services include behavior modification, infant and early childhood mental health, psychiatric evaluation; developmental screening; family, group, and individual counseling; long-term case/care management; and psychiatric testing. Services are targeted to at-risk youth and their families. Age and geographic restrictions apply for some services.

The Developmental Screening program for children, age birth to five years, is offered to parents who have concern about the developmental progress of their child. A screening tool, Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ and ASQ-SE) is administered by agency professional staff with the parents, in the clinic setting or client's home.

Treatment services include Dyadic therapy, play-based therapy, individual and family therapy, psychological testing, parent counseling, medication services and outpatient mental health services. Staff are trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS ). Behavior modification (TBS) is conducted with children age 2 through 5. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk-in for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees for services; Medi-Cal and Healthy Families are accepted.
