Family Law ( Former Foster Children )

The agency provides legal services to low-income people including special projects to assist teens, foster youth and young adults living in L A County, including undocumented immigrant youth. Services include assistance with family law issues. Geographic and income restrictions may apply based on funding sources.

LACLJ provides legal services and education for teen parents or teen victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence, child support, and establishing a parental relationship are just a few of the many legal issues teen clients confront.

LACLJ' s Teen/LA Project assists young parents and victims of dating violence and/or sexual assault between the ages of 14 to 24 years old with these and other legal issues such as: custody and visitation, restraining orders, marriage and divorce. br>
LACLJ's Foster Youth Project assists current or former foster youth between the ages of 14 to 24 years old with services in relation to Family Law.

Assistance is also provided to undocumented immigrant youth who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by their parent and want to remain in the United States lawfully. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for an intake interview and to make an appointment. ID, proof of income and proof of address are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services; however individuals must qualify for services.
