The agency is available to participate as a recipient in a food rescue program. Food rescue programs collect unused portions of prepared foods or perishable foods from restaurants, cafeterias, corporate food services, caterers, grocery stores, and special events and deliver food donations directly to agencies (such as crisis shelters, transitional facilities, soup kitchens and homeless shelters) with on-site meal programs. The agency provides warm meals seven days per week. The service area is primarily the Los Angeles downtown area, however no one is turned away who needs food. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to arrange delivery. The program has a pantry and a walk-in refrigerator/Freezer to accomodate donations. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees. CONDITIONS Agency Transportation Delivery vehicles are insured by this agency Drivers are staff Vehicles equipped with coolers Vehicles equipped with thermal blankets Delivery Accessibility Pick-Up Truck Accessible Van Accessible Special Meals/Food Prep/Storage Can pick up food shipments Can receive after-hours deliveries Cooking Facilities On-Site Freezer(s)On Site Refrigeration On-Site Serve more than 100 meals per week
