Formula/Baby Food
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY AGING AND DISABILITIES DEPARTMENT - SAN PEDRO SERVICE CENTER
CORONAVIRUS ACCESS NOTE: In order to comply with social distancing requirements, all food pickups are drive through and by appointment only.
The center provides emergency food for people in need in the South Bay area, including homeless and undocumented people. Services include ongoing emergency food assistance through the center's Food Pantry program. The service area includes Harbor City, Lomita, San Pedro and Wilmington; however, there are no geographic restrictions.
The food program consists of a box of groceries, including staple foods and canned goods. People may apply once a month. The amount of food varies with family size. Infant formula and baby food is sometimes available depending on donations. Special food items are available for homeless individuals who have no cooking facilities; special diets can sometimes also be accommodated. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information, food is available by appointment. Documentation includes ID, either CADL or Califorinia ID; proof of residence such as utility bill; and source of income. In addition, source of referral is also asked on the application. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
