General Health Education Programs

The organization provides health education services for the general public as well as for health plan members in Los Angeles County. Services include general health education, physical fitness programs, and planning/coordinating/advisory groups. There are no geographic restrictions.

General health education includes online information and classes about ADHS, asthma, COPD, diabetes, healthy weight, parenting, pregnancy, and smoking cessation.

Physical fitness classes are available at the health plan's Family Resource Center locations.

Regional Community Advisory Committees (RCAC's) are made of plan members, doctors, nurses, advocates and other health care providers. They provide advice on how the health plan may best serve its' members and the general community APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to apply; first aid classes require advance registration. Apply online to participate in a RCAC. Visit the health plan's website for more information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most programs; call for information.
