This is a statewide professional organization for psychologists which advocates for legislation that concerns the profession, provides continuing education and networking for members, offers information about employment openings in California, disseminates information about issues and events that affect psychologists, and coordinates local chapters throughout the state which provide direct services for members and the public. The association can also provide information about the psychological profession for the media and the public.

Psychologists at all levels of professional development, including students, may join the organization and be eligible for membership benefits. Members may join specific divisions which focus on clinical and independent practice, education and training in psychology, industrial and organizational practice, social justice and diversity, neuropsychology, clinical psychopharmacology and psychology in public service settings. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Psychologists and students may contact the organization for membership information by phone or through the agency's website. The agency maintains many chapters outside Los Angeles County; visit the agency's website for information on additional chapters. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE People who become members of the association pay dues annually; the amount of dues paid depends upon the membership level and the person's involvement in specific divisions.
