Mayoral duties include working with the city council on proposals and recommendations for city improvements, approving, or vetoing ordinances passed by the council, submitting an annual city budget, appointing city officers subject to council approval and acting as official host for the city of Los Angeles. Individuals may file city-related complaints or suggestions here and can also get general city information. There are no geographic restrictions.
