The health center provides provides mental health services for adults and older adults in Los Angeles County. Services include clinical evaluation; geriatric assessment for adults, age 50 and older; and health related support groups. Services are provided at two locations; see site list for details. There are no geographic restrictions.

Outpatient mental health services include evaluation, day treatment for adults, group counseling, and a wide variety of mutual support groups. The groups include support for people with medical conditions such as AIDS, chronic pain (fibromyalgia), multiple sclerosis, repetitive strain injury, scleroderma and Tourette's Syndrome. There are also groups for burn survivors, caregivers, families of aging parents, overeaters, sex addicts and suicide survivors. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in the hospital for information or service; a referral from a staff physician, the emergency room, or a private physician is required for treatment. No referral is required for support groups. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees. Medicare, military, and some private insurances are accepted. There are no fees for support groups.
