The agency provides health education services for individuals who live in Los Angeles county. Services include health education: asthma classes for adults and children, cardiac risk reduction classes, caregiver education and support, childbirth education, expectant/new parent assistance, general health education lectures, Lymphedema education; and health literacy education on issues surrounding bariatric surgery. Therapeutic exercise classes are held for Parkinson's Disease patients and for breast cancer patients. There are no geographic restrictions. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to apply for services. Registration is required for most classes. A prescription is required for the Therapeutic Exercise class for Breast Cancer patients. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Most classes are free. Fixed fees vary according to level of service.
