Health Education ( AIDS/HIV )

Provider: SPECTRUM COMMUNITY SERVICES AND RESEARCH

The agency provides HIV/AIDS services for people of all ages living with or affected by HIV/AIDS who live in Los Angeles County. Services include advocacy, case management, disease/disability information, mental health services and peer support services. There are no geographic restrictions.

Case/care management services provide integration of services for the client based on an individualized service plan. Clients many receive food assistance from the agency's food bank; full dental care, housing assistance, legal counseling, health education, nutrition counseling and transportation; and public benefits counseling are also provided.

Mental health services include counseling/psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. Support groups are provided for people with HIV/AIDS and their families. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; applicants must have a documented diagnosis of AIDS or HIV infection. An appointment is preferred for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services for eligible individuals.
