The agency provides services for people with disabilities targeted to the Chinese community in Los Angeles County. Services include health/disability related support groups, parenting skills classes, recreational/leisure/arts instruction, specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include educational and recreational services specifically designed for members' children with special needs. The agency offers drawing, dancing, rhythm movements, and music therapy classes.
For parents, the agency arranges training to improve their skills to care for family members who have learning disabilities.
The agency also invites subject matter experts and legal petitioners to speak on subjects such as how to fight for better educational services and gain better understanding of their legal rights.
In addition to emotional support, the agency also provides information about various disabilities, suggests referrals to appropriate community resources, and offers interpreter/translation assistance.
