The agency provides housing services to residents of all ages who face the loss of real property through improper foreclosure or lien contract disputes in Los Angeles County. Services include home improvement/repair complaints and mortgage delinquency default counseling. Services are targeted to older adults and those at the poverty level. There are no geographic restrictions.

Assistance may include certificates/forms assistance, legal counseling and representation. Counseling is available to all clients; lawsuits are undertaken only for the most needy and for the most severe cases of injustice.

Applicants who are younger than age 60 and who have a disability may be required to meet other income guidelines. All other applicants who are younger than age 60 must meet federal poverty guidelines. Home visits can be made to seniors who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or infirmity. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An appointment is required; clients are pre-screened. Homebound seniors call for an in-home visit. Proof of age and income are required; West Hollywood residents must provide proof of residency. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
