The center provides legal services targeted to low-income Asians/ Pacific Islanders who live in Los Angeles County, with an emphasis on recent immigrants and refugees with limited English skills. Services include certificate/forms assistance, child custody/visitation assistance, child support assistance/enforcement, consumer law, crime victim support, discrimination assistance, divorce assistance, emancipation of minors, family law, immigrant benefits assistance, labor and employment law and landlord/tenant assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.

Legal assistance and advice is provided on issues including civil rights, consumer law, discrimination, family law (child custody assistance, child support assistance, dissolution assistance, emancipation of minors and crime victim support in obtaining a TRO), housing, public benefits, spousal support assistance, labor and employment law, small claims, and landlord/tenant law.

The Asian Language Legal Intake Project (ALLIP) provides counsel and advice, brief services and information for speakers of Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Khmer, Korean and Vietnamese. Services are targeted, but not restricted to, monolingual Asian/Pacific Islanders. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for telephone assistance or an appointment. The agency cannot serve walk-ins. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services; some services are provided on a fixed fee-for service basis.
