Immigration/Naturalization Legal Services ( Abused Women )

The agency provides domestic violence services primarily for victims of domestic violence and their children who are in the Long Beach and surrounding areas. Services include abuse counseling, crime victim accompaniment services, child custody/visitation assistance, divorce assistance, domestic violence hotlines, immigration/naturalization legal services, public awareness education, spouse/domestic partner abuse counseling, and temporary restraining orders. There are no geographic restrictions.

The hotline operates 24 hours for victims. The hotline provides telephone counseling for women, and also provides intake for the agency's battered women's shelters and for other support services.

Support services include counseling, which may be individual, group or family and other supportive services, including a multi-cultural outreach program.

Youth counseling services provide individual and group counseling to youth who have been exposed to domestic violence.

Legal services include crime victim support in obtaining TRO's, accompaniment services, divorce, child custody and immigration.

The community education program provides presentation on domestic violence and teen dating awareness throughout the community. They also provide pamphlets and brochures. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There is a sliding scale fee starting at $0; however no one is turned away due to lack of funds.
