Individual Advocacy ( TANF Recipients, Abused Women )

The agency provides welfare-to-work support services to battered women who receive or are eligible to receive CalWORKs and live in southeast Los Angeles County. Services include case management, individual advocacy, mutual support groups, specialized information and referral, spousal abuse counseling, crime victim support in obtaining a TRO and welfare rights assistance. Services are restricted to Bell, Bellflower, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Cerritos, Cudahy, Downey, Huntington Park, Lynwood, Maywood, Paramount and South Gate.
Child care and limited transportation is provided. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An appointment; and referrals from the County are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
